Just off Route 8, a series of dark, interconnected tunnels which are often populated with archeologists. Beneath them lie the fabled Canu'r Gloch Depths.
The Canu'r Gloch chambers are a set of ancient interconnected stone tunnels and rooms. The winds whistle through them and the sounds of bells and singing horn-like sounds can be heard.
When the player first approaches the chambers, there are many distressed archaeologists and other researchers standing outside who say they have been forced to leave by Team Wild. They have stolen their equipment and gone inside.
Upon entering the chambers for the first time, the player finds many Team Wild Grunts inside. After battling them, they find more grunts harassing a woman with a metal detector. Her name is Signe, Hafod’s leading archaeologist and anthropologist.
The grunts are trying to threatening her so she will hand over her research notes about what she has found in the chambers, though they won’t say why. Signe refuses and asks the player to help her battle them. Once defeated, Team Wild are forced to retreat. Signe thanks the player for their help and gives them a metal detector as a gift (it helps the player find hidden items).

Signe wonders aloud whether Team Wild were there looking for answers about the Pokénogi, explaining that her research suggests that the chambers are only the upper level of a much larger structure. There are only theories as to what sleeps in the chambers hidden below.
She asks the player whether they have heard of the Pokénogi before. She explains that it is what people call a set of ancient stories about a Hafod long ago, stories that somehow unlock a latent potential in some Pokémon, causing them to embrace some aspect of an archetype from the past. The phenomenon is unique to the Hafod region and is shrouded in mystery. She tells the player they can ask Odl y Môr’s gym leader more about it, her wife, Olwen.
After awakening the mountain guardians and meeting at Hafod Innovation HQ, the player reaches the chambers and is spotted by Daphne and Dylan. Daphne tells the two how proud she is of her friends, she can’t believe how strong the three of them have become, together. She says she wishes her dad could be here to see all of this, Dylan hugs her. Then, Toby arrives with Steren and Sparrow. She asks if the three have seen any sign of Team Wild yet as there is no one about. Suddenly the sound of a choir builds from inside the cavern and the group rush inside.
Team Wild stands in a large group with Vivi and the admins at the front, singing. The player and the group look on in a mixture of reverence and fear. Suddenly the choir cuts out, Vivi, standing alone beneath the mural of the dragons, sings the final stanza of the song alone, reading from the red book. She finishes the song, 'Wild Hafod, Wild'.
Suddenly, in the same fashion as the statues atop the three mountains of Hafod, the wall crumbles away to reveal a passage forward into the dark. Strong winds blow from inside and the sounds of bells and a horn can be heard. Vivi speaks to the members of Team Wild, with tears in her eyes about the rebirth of Hafod and how, today, Hafod will become wild once more. Toby cuts through the speech, shouting at Vivi to stop. The members of Team Wild laugh at her. Vivi and the admins turn to enter the newly revealed tunnel.
The mass of Team Wild members are advancing on the group when, from outside the chamber, come voices. In flood Dai and his dock workers, Alaya and her choir, Laraine and her crewmates, Olwen and her students (as well as Heron), Gwil and his bandmates as well as Gerardo and the people of Pennillan Town. Steren, Ume, Petros and Signe are there too. Dylan and the player’s mums appear and wave. Petros steps forward and takes Toby’s hand. He tells her and the others to go on ahead, they will take care of Team Wild once and for all. Toby nods and looks at the mass of Hafodian people who have come to help. She squeezes Steren’s hand, smiles to Sparrow and then ushers the player, Dylan and Daphne through into the tunnel.
