The subterraneous lair where Team Wild hide out away from modern society and make their schemes. It is hidden in a sheer rock face in Y Craffter Regional Park.
Outside, the base appears to be a disused entrance to an abandoned mine or a tunnel of some sort. It is initially inaccessible to the player until they are given the task to infiltrate the base by Toby in Pennillan Town.
Inside, it starts a series of chambers, narrow and dimly lit with torches mounted on the rough stone walls. The main HQ is more like a network of natural caves, with chambers and passages branching off in different directions. Some rooms have crude wooden doors, while others are open, revealing small groups of grunts gathered around makeshift tables discussing plans.

Disguised as a Team Wild grunt, the player deceives the guards into granting them passage. Once inside, they are quickly confronted by more grunts, who, upon losing in Pokémon battles, begrudgingly allow the player to press on. Moving deeper into the hideout, the player enters a large chamber, where another Team Wild admin, Penna, is barking orders. With a smirk, she makes a chilling remark about the “caged sparrow” down the hall, casually asking for suggestions on “how to make this jailbird sing.” The player watches as she and the grunts disperse, then takes the opportunity to slip further into the maze-like passages, searching for any sign of Sparrow’s whereabouts.
Eventually, the player reaches a quiet central chamber which branches off into five separate rooms, one of which is guarded by two grunts stood by the door. After a battle, they are defeated and, assuming the player is just another grunt eager to interrogate their captive, they head off for a break. Inside, the player finds Sparrow tied to a chair. At first, he doesn’t recognize them, but as they loosen the ropes, he grins widely, seeing through the disguise. He thanks them for coming and explains that Team Wild has been pressuring him for information about Hafod’s hidden legendary Pokémon, but he has refused to say a word. With urgency, he warns the player that they need to escape fast before the Team Wild boss returns. He recalls overhearing something about a secret exit hidden in one of the admin’s rooms.
Heading out, the player and Sparrow check the other rooms (four of them are open, one is locked) and find a secret door behind a banner with a beetle design (in Inva's room). Heading inside they find themselves in a series of dark chambers and must battle their way through a series of grunts. Eventually they end up in one final chamber with daylight glowing from outside the door. Sparrow excitedly points to the exit when suddenly the room fills with Team Wild grunts rushing in. Penna appears and challenge the player to a battle.
Once defeated, from behind Penna comes a new voice. A woman steps to the front and introduces herself as Team Wild’s leader, Vivi. She tells the two that these attempts to foil Team Wild’s plans mean nothing in the end, that she has a plan that will make all of these moments trivial. She will return Hafod to its pure state, how it’s meant to be. She orders a handful of grunts with growling Blacaidds at their sides to search the player’s bag. Inside, to Sparrow’s horror, they find the red book.
Vivi flicks through the book with a mixture of happiness and anxiety. Finding something she had been looking for, she breaks into a blissful smile and wholeheartedly thanks the player for bringing her exactly what she needed. Vivi shouts to Team Wild that Hafod’s rebirth is imminent. Team Wild has found the key to reaching the original dragons and they must all make their way to the site. The mass of people shout ‘Keep Hafod wild!’ and the room clears. Before she leaves, Vivi turns to the player and warns them against trying to intervene, she is a force of nature.
Outside the base, Toby, Daphne and Dylan run towards the player, asking if the two are ok. Sparrow explains what happened and Toby reassures them. Toby explains that she had guessed already that Team Wild’s plan was related to the ancient dragons of Hafod, she just had to be sure. She theorises that this Vivi woman now believes she can awaken the original dragons which will somehow return Hafod to some original, untouched state.
Sparrow explains about Hafod's mountain guardians, said to be sleeping in the castles atop the three peaks of Hafod. He posits that, if they could get these Pokémon to help them, maybe they could soothe the dragons as they did in the myths. Toby turns to Dylan, Daphne and the player, requesting that the three of them track these Pokémon down and ask for their help. Dylan eagerly agrees before Daphne and the player can even begin to respond.
Toby takes Sparrow’s arm and she promises the other three will see her soon. Sparrow wishes them luck. They leave.
Daphne begins to doubt herself, wondering if she should have stayed in Kalos. Before she can sink further, Dylan suddenly shouts, startling her. He tells her she’s brave, intelligent, and kind, and that she makes an excellent professor. He admits he was nervous when they started their journey, but her composure and strength gave him confidence. She’s facing grief and uncertainty, yet she’s still standing. If she can do that, he knows the three of them can face whatever comes next together.
Daphne, emboldened, thanks Dylan and the player for all their help. She decides that she will go to Y Craffter, Dylan should go to Y Bywyn near Cerddinas City and that the player should find the entrance to Yr Awen near Route 12. Dylan agrees and reminds the other two that if they find trouble, use their phone to call the others for help.
