A trail leading through a large valley with a vast lake and a reservoir. It stretches from the Diafol Bridge to Llais Hen.
Route 9 leads through a sprawling valley, offering a central path that winds its way from the Diafol Bridge to the charming town of Llais Hen. Trainers can choose to stray from the path and freely traverse this open route, surrounded by steep hills.
As trainers progress along Route 9, they come to a reservoir with a large, impressive dam. The water heals the player's Pokémon when they stand in it.
"A trail leading through a sprawling valley with views of a large, impressive reservoir."
At the dam, the player encounters Team Wild grunts blocking their way. After defeating them, they find Daphne and Dylan in a heated argument with Squama, a Team Wild Admin. Squama reveals that the group has planted explosives to destroy the dam, believing that removing man-made structures will allow nature to reclaim the land. Daphne and Dylan argue that such destruction would devastate Hafod’s people and Pokémon. Unwilling to listen, Squama insists that sacrifices are necessary for true restoration. With no peaceful resolution, Daphne and Dylan take on Team Wild’s grunts while the player battles Squama.
After Squama’s defeat, she insists that this loss is meaningless, that her boss has a greater plan in motion. Team Wild retreats, leaving Daphne shaken by how close they came to disaster. Signe, whom the player has recently met in the Diafol Gold Mine, arrives with her team, assuring them that she will remove the explosives. She suggests they continue to Llais Hen while she handles the situation. As they leave, the trio reflects on Team Wild’s escalating actions, with Dylan vowing to protect Hafod and Daphne, though nervous, resolving to stand against the group’s reckless interference with the ecosystem.
